Someday I'll Be Famous...Or Not

Brielle has a shirt that says "Someday I'll Be Famous"...this morning she asked me what that meant.  I told her it means that you will be known by a lot of people, like MAYBE you will be on TV so everyone knows who you are and it COULD ALSO mean you have a lot money, that you are really rich.

Brielle: So Miley Cyrus is famous AND rich?

Me: Yes exactly

Brielle: I want to be famous and rich. I want to be a ROCK STAR.

Me: Ok baby, whatever you want you can be.

Brielle: Well, will I still live with you?

Me: No honey, you will have so much money and you will buy your own house and it will probably be a big house.

Brielle: I changed my mind. I don't want to be famous.

Me: Why not?

Brielle: Because I love you and want to live with you in this house.

Me: Oh baby, You can buy a really big house and I will come live in it with you!!!

Brielle: No, I want to live in this house with you because you wake up good in this house.

Me: I wake up good in this house? What?

Brielle: When I come in your bedroom in the nighttime you wake up good in this house and you didn't wake up good in the house we just moved away from.

Me: Oh my Goodness...I love you Bri Bri!!

Here she is in her Rock Star outfit for school...We crimped her hair too.  She thinks she's pretty cool.

Thanks for the Email!!

I haven't blogged  for a while and I really had no intention to anytime soon,  but after opening my email today I decided I owe Casey a new post. It wont be funny or silly but because of her email I will do my best to post something good soon!! I hope she isn't mad but I'm posting her email because it meant SOOO much to me.  I haven't blogged because I honestly don't know what to talk about.  I am not going to pretend I'm doing fabulous by posting a bunch of bull crap lines..I'm not going to complain and share my every thought about what I am going through....I truly have not known what to say.  I am so grateful for those who have been there for me.  Thank You Casey for listening and for taking Bug this weekend and for the email..Thank You Jami for listening and listening and listening and for letting me cry and listening some more and letting me cry...Thank You Hil for listening and watching Roxy, for being so good to my girls and listening...Thank You Jeremy for loving me unconditionally, protecting me, providing for me, listening to me, understanding me, reassuring me and most of all for choosing me to be your wife.

Hey Kizzy,

Just got home from work and of course can't sleep so I am goofing around on the computer and just like always, the first place I go to play around and be nosy is your blog... Well, too bad for me, it's the same one it's been for quite a while now.  Instead of feeling bad for myself like I normally do, I thought I'd let you know just how much I miss reading all your funny little stories and seeing your fun pictures and stuff...  Kiz, I know that you are having a hard time right now and I just wanted to tell you that even though some days are really really bad, try to keep your chin up and don't forget who you are!  You are bright, funny, silly, smart, pretty, best dressed and the best accessorizer (sp) that I know!  And you have great hair too!!

Things will get better soon I'm sure, just try to focus on the things you have to be thankful for to help you get through the dark times.  You have so many people around you that love you and your family so much and will be there for you at any moments notice when needed.

If you need anything please let me know, and I mean that!  Talk to you soon....

Love,

Casey

We headed up north for the weekend for my niece Alissa's baptism and Jeremy also got his stitches out.  He is doing really good and I think he will be very happy with his "NEW" feet!!

We took Jami's girls with us while they had a fun weekend in VEGAS!!   So off we go, Jeremy, his fabulous wifey, 6 girls and Roxy (also female)...I'm so lucky to have such a great guy! :)

The guys put orange energy drink in the humming bird feeder. It was hilarious!! There are so many of them at the cabin.  They are really cool to watch.

Crazy August

My computer has been down for a few weeks...I had ovarian cysts rupture about 3 weeks ago(the pain was worse than having my c-sections..it was awful!!)... Jeremy had surgery on both of his feet a week and a half ago and has been in a wheelchair...Thank Heavens the girls are back to school!!  It's been a crazy month.  I am definitely ready for my long weekend in Cali with Jami for her birthday in September!!  WooHoo!!!

Jeremy has flat feet and basically had arthritis in his left from the way he walks. Dr. Hall (aka Ryan my bro-in-law) scoped his left foot and inserted stay-pegs in both his feet which helps him have an arch so that he can walk better.  He is doing really good and just started walking today.  If I was a better wife I would have taken a picture of him walking with the shoes that he has to wear..he looks hilarious.  I don't think he finds it as funny as I do:)

The girls are liking their new school and get to ride the bus.  I was a little nervous at first about the bus thing...ya know that maybe older kids would pick on them or something but so far they have said the older girls are really nice to them and there is one boy that is not mean just annoying (I told them get used to it cuz that's just how boys are)!!

I think I had too many kids!!!

So I am totally going crazy!! Like pull my hair out, cranky, depressed, feeling sorry for myself crazy!! I am not one of those awesome moms that doesn't go crazy after the 4th week into summer.  9 weeks is too long for my kiddos to be at home in the summer...Add on the extra week we have now becuz we moved so we don't start until the 17th! Are you freakin kidding me?? Jeremy might be raising these kiddos on his own cuz I'm thinkin I'm on my way out... So thanks to Rhegan they are totally into making friendship bracelets and it has kept them quite busy.  Ohh, the freedom I am so looking forward to in a little over 2 weeks when my kiddos are back at school where they belong using their brains and not their high pitched girly screams and sibling rivalry...she's in my bedroom and I don't want her in here...she called me stupid...she won't play pet shops with me...she made the mess not me!!!

I'm really not a horrible mom...I took them to see Aliens in the Attic today and went to Dippin Dots...My awesome hubby is takin me out tonite (I seriously love  date nite!!) and Taylor is babysitting...Taylor has been so awesome this summer...I don't know what I'd have done without her :)

Whoever you are and you know who you are...I find it very PATHETIC that you would use someones BLOG to gossip about my sister. Why don't you worry about your OWN life...You certainly need to because GOSSIP is a SIN (incase you didn't know). If however, you still choose to gossip...please do not plaster it on OTHER PEOPLES BLOGS...Make your own blog if you want to say something..oh you want to remain anonymous don't you??? COWARD :)

Art Show

The Dysart District has an annual art show where 2 students from each grade level are chosen to have their artwork displayed at the education center.  Tylar and Kiley were were both 1 out of the 2 for 1st and 2nd grade.  I was actually very surprised but very excited by Kiley's being chosen.  She takes after me with NO art skills whatsoever!!  Tylar has always been very artsy.  I was so happy for bug though because she is our typical middle child.  She never thinks she is good enough at anything.  She has been struggling this year with her weight...she is still gaining like crazy...and kids are starting to be mean.  They tell her she looks like she's pregnant and one girl told her she is a fat pig.  It breaks my heart especially because she is only in 1st grade.  I didn't think it would be like this for her until she was a little older.  She is such a beautiful girl and I can already see her being broken down because of her peers so I was so thrilled to be able to celebrate something like this for her.  Of course we celebrated it for both of them..after the art show we let them pick where to eat...Chili's!! Kiley's artwork is her thumbprint blown up and then she traced all lines and colored it.  Tylar's was...I don't remember??? I am such a horrible mom.  Her's was??? Ummm... robots?

Introducing Baby Karlee & Apollo Reunion

bri bri and karley

Casey had her baby on April 4th (I hope that's right!).  They named her Karlee Raye and she is soo adorable!  I can't believe that's my baby holding a baby.  Bri Bri is growing up too fast.  I only have one year left with her until she heads to kindergarten!!  I think Casey goes back to work the first of June so I will be watching Karlee once or twice a week and I am so excited.

kizzy & yetta

This is Yetta Gibson, a reporter for channel 10 news.  There was an Apollo reunion last night for anyone who went to Apollo.  It was pretty much "old people"  like Jeremy and his friends,  people that graduated in the 80's.  Anyway, my sister Kari's high school sweetheart, A.J. Sulka was there.  He and Jeremy are good friends and I have always adored A.J.. I was just a little elementary school girl when he spent a lot of time at our house.  He is partners with Dan Majerle and runs the Majerles in downtown Phoenix.  I worked there my senior year.  Ok so I am babbling and you are all probably wondering what this has to do with Yetta Gibson...she is A.J.'s wife.  She is such a beautiful girl and so sweet.  It was a fun night.  I know Worm enjoyed seeing some old friends.  I didn't see anyone from my year or even within a few years of my graduating year.  Like I said, it was all old people!!

My Art Work

Tatum (my niece) asked me to do her makeup for prom and I was in complete shock!!  I have never done makeup on anyone except myself and the girls for a dance recital or halloween.  I don't have a picture of her all finished in her dress and her hair done other than on my phone that she text me later on and I don't know how to transfer pics from my phone to computer so SORRY!!  She looked GORGEOUS and I have to say I was quite proud of my work :)

SERIOUSLY, IS THERE A WAY TO FREEZE MY DAUGHTERS???

Kiley- Mom, will you get a job at an orphanage?

Me- Why the heck do you want me to work at an orphanage?

Kiley- Because I want to live there.

Me- Why the heck do you want to live at an orphanage?

Kiley- Because I like boys, they are hotties and I want to kiss them.  There are lots of cute boys at an orphanage.

Me-  no response, seriously I had no response.  First of all, why is she already thinking boys are hotties, why does she want to kiss them and what has made her think there are lots of cute boys at an orphanage???? I don't think she has ever seen Newsies.  Does anyone know of another movie or show where she would have gotten this from or am I just screwed (excuse my language) and my daughters hormones are raging at the age of 7???

STREPTOCOCCUS

So I decided today that I was going to the doctor since my throat is still swollen,  I can barely swallow and I can feel the pus pockets deep down just wanting to pop open and ooze nastified stuff.  I know that sounds gross, but seriously there is no other way to describe it.  Every time I swallow I swear one is going to burst and I am going to choke and die on the oozing pus.  I should have gone to the doctor on March 5th when I first came down with this hideous sore throat but I honestly didn't think it was STREP!  I am praying the girls and hubby don't get it.

The Rest of the Week

Thursday- After calling around I was able to get Tylar an appt. for Friday morning at 24th St. & Camelback.  I had my nail appt for Friday morning also and was missing 4 nails!!  Kristy is awesome though and stayed late Thursday night to do them. I can't have missing nails for the baby shower.  I also came down with a horrible sore throat and chills that night.  What a week!

Friday- Doc says he is going to redo xrays because the ones from urgent care are horrible.  Doc also says her elbow is NOT broken! A few cuss words were spoken to my husband over the phone about the idiot doctor at urgent care.  Actually more than a few!

The baby shower was most definitely the best part of the week.  All the cute clothes and diapers and blankies!  The joy of a new sweet baby girl joining the Garrett family in 4 weeks is so exciting. The best part is that I get to babysit her when her mommy and daddy are working and then I can give her back so I don't have sleepless nights, they do!  It's going to be SO MUCH FUN.

Oh and Roxy finally passed a weird looking acorn thing!  She is doing great!!

My Week So Far

Monday- Get Kiley to school, Hillary takes Brielle, I spend half the day at urgent care with Tylar.  She fell off her bike Sunday and her arm is still hurting.  Doc says it's not broken, gives her a sling and says to take some tylenol.

Monday Nite- Roxy won't eat her dinner, vomited,  and is NOT her hyper, playful puppy self...something is wrong.

Tuesday- Spend the day in and out of the vet...xrays and medication...$514 dollars later, vet says she should hopefully pass it through by Wednesday. Tylar's arm is still hurting...seriously???...your fine honey, it's just bruised.  It will feel better soon.

Wednesday- Roxy still won't eat, vomit and diahrea (sp?) and I am a total reck, bawling and gagging trying to clean her up and now the girls are crying.  I am so emotional over this little puppy I've only had for 2 months.  What's wrong with me??  I get kids to school and take Roxy to vet.  Doc says gonna do another xray and run other tests.  I run all day getting everything for Casey's baby shower I am having this weekend.  Pick Roxy up at 6:30.  She is looking a little better, 2 medications and special food to feed her.  Says I need to get another stool sample to them tomorrow and head to checkout counter...$162 dollars.  I go to feed our fish Golby and he is dead...phone rings and Doc from urgent care says after going over Tylar's xrays again...her elbow is broken!  Off to the orthopedic doc tomorrow and hopefully Roxy will not need to be taken to the vet.

I wonder how the rest of the week is going to be.  Hopefully it ends with a really good baby shower!!

Change

We knew this was coming....our ward split yesterday.  It's going to be sad not seeing everyone on Sunday.  I am losing some of my very closest friends and also some very friendly faces I love to see in the halls and chat with.  I know it's just 3 hours every Sunday and it's not like I am actually losing my friends, it's just going to be different. I am not a person who likes change. But I have to say goodbye to the Cactus Lane Ward and I am  sorry that you have to go back to the 8am time...actually,  I am sorry for myself who has to go at 2pm...I am selfish and I always want the 10am time...it's the best

Jesus wants for a Sunbeam!

Brielle is a SUNBEAM now. Wow, she is growing up so fast!

After church on Sunday we asked her what she learned in Sunbeams.

"I learn that Jesus went to the Superbowl and Jesus died in the water."

"Amen"

VALENTINE'S PARTY

Jami & I hosted a Valentine's Dinner Saturday night. The invitations were red hearts with zebra background so we decided to decorate with red and black and white zebra.  I thought it turned out really pretty.  I ordered zebra placemats from Amazon.com and when they came I panicked cuz they were a little thinner than I would like my placemats, but I also tend to stress about stupid things. We  served yummy teriyaki chicken (a too die for recipe of Shelly's!), sauteed asparagus, rice and rolls. For dessert we had the chocolate fountain with strawberries, kiwi, pretzels and angel food cake pieces and heart shaped brownies and heart and lips sugar cookies.  Mmmm...it was sooo tasty!  After dinner we mingled outside around the fireplace.  I had a really fun night and hope all our friends did too!!
