Change

We knew this was coming....our ward split yesterday.  It's going to be sad not seeing everyone on Sunday.  I am losing some of my very closest friends and also some very friendly faces I love to see in the halls and chat with.  I know it's just 3 hours every Sunday and it's not like I am actually losing my friends, it's just going to be different. I am not a person who likes change. But I have to say goodbye to the Cactus Lane Ward and I am  sorry that you have to go back to the 8am time...actually,  I am sorry for myself who has to go at 2pm...I am selfish and I always want the 10am time...it's the best

After church on Sunday we asked her what she learned in Sunbeams.

VALENTINE'S PARTY

 

Jami & I hosted a Valentine's Dinner Saturday night. The invitations were red hearts with zebra background so we decided to decorate with red and black and white zebra.  I thought it turned out really pretty.  I ordered zebra placemats from Amazon.com and when they came I panicked cuz they were a little thinner than I would like my placemats, but I also tend to stress about stupid things. We  served yummy teriyaki chicken (a too die for recipe of Shelly's!), sauteed asparagus, rice and rolls. For dessert we had the chocolate fountain with strawberries, kiwi, pretzels and angel food cake pieces and heart shaped brownies and heart and lips sugar cookies.  Mmmm...it was sooo tasty!  After dinner we mingled outside around the fireplace.  I had a really fun night and hope all our friends did too!! 

 

 

Julie always looks so adorable, but she had on red high heels and wanted to get comfy to go outside and kick everyones butt playing ping pong, so she borrowed my fuzzy red slippers which complimented her outfit very well!

I really really hope that Stephenie Meyer decides to finish writing and publishes Midnight Sun.  I know she is trying to prove a point to whoever it was that illegally posted her draft of it on the internet, but she needs to finish it!!!! I am dying to read the rest of the story.  Freak, I seriously wish I was a vampire.

Eagles vs. Cardinals & SUPERBOWL

 

The Eagles came to Phoenix to play the Cardinals for the NFC Championship.  It was a fun weekend with Jeremy's family.  We spent Friday night at the Ritz Carlton and then Saturday night we went to fajitas.  The game was awesome other than the fact that we lost.  It sucks losing but we were happy for the Cardinals (despite the fact that the Bidwells are horrible people and treated the Eagles so badly! I can't wait till they get a taste of their own medicine!!) Jeremy and Todd decided we were going to the Superbowl no matter which team won so we left for Tampa on the Tuesday before the big game.  Let me just say that it was definitely not on my top 5 best vacations.  It was one of those vacations that you realize your husband should have taken a buddy rather than his wife.  It was cold and rainy so why not stay in the hotel and read right??? No not so good for Todd and Jeremy.  I hope Todd forgives me for getting Casey so hooked on the Twilight Series.  I also hope my husband realizes that Edward is fictional and just because  I have read the books more than once does not mean that I love Edward more.  And listening to the soundtrack is not a big deal either.  If he would just take the time to listen to it he would realize how  many great songs there are by bands he loves...Linkin Park, Paramore, Collective Soul...it is a GREAT soundtrack!! The best part of the vacation was the Rihanna concert.  Yes, for me it was better than the game, my team wasn't even part of the game so really that isn't a bad thing.  Have I mentioned how awesome Rihanna is.

I think she is amazing.  I love her exotic look and she has the most beautiful eyes and in concert she looks like she could kick the crap out you.  Her and her songs kick butt!
