We are at the cabin this weekend. Hunter's (my nephew) friend had an accident on the quad. He is lucky to be alive with only a broken leg. We are so grateful that he has no traumatic injuries. He lost control and hit a tree head on and flew between two trees. He hit his right leg on the tree which is what broke his leg. You should have seen the look on the chilren's faces when the paramedics had to move the femur bone back into place. His right leg was shorter than his left because of the break and they have to get it back into place before they board him and send him in the ambulance. Some of the kids informed us later on that they said prayers in their heads for him. I thought that was so awesome that 7 year olds would do that. Our quad is beyond worth repairing, but we are so so so happy that Alex is okay.
For a couple months now I have been nagging (something I ALMOST NEVER do!) Worm to drive to Atlanta and get some things we left behind. A hot tub, playground, custom window treatments and a few other items. We had hoped it would be an incentive for buyers. Two years later, the market getting worse, still no buyers and I want my stuff!
Our conversation last week
kizzy: please honey, it is so worth the drive!
worm: ya, cuz you're not the one going, and what about gas prices we have a diesel truck?!
kizzy: i will go with you! it will be so much fun! i will keep you company!
worm: fun?! you'll just read your trashy books and sleep the whole time. that is not fun. and you just want to go see dawn.
kizzy: well that too. i can't believe you don't want me to go with you. i annoy you huh? do you not love me anymore?
worm: whatever! i don't want to drive that far. i don't think it's worth it.
kizzy: fine, i will never mention it again.
worm: really? you promise? you will never bring it up again? you promise?
kizzy: nope, i will never bring it up again. you don't dote on me like you used to. it hurts my feelings.
worm: sigh
So after Jeremy went to bed the last night my parents and some of my siblings and I were all up talking. I asked their opinions. This morning I didn't keep my promise and told him my family voted while he was in bed and he lost. Road Trip!

Brielle's Birthday!
Bri Bri is 3 today! We had a luau party. The night before was stormy and the day of her party was not looking good but by the evening it turned out to be great weather. Aunt Kari made the hula barbie cake and yummy cupcakes. I ordered way too much pork of course because I am always a nervous reck that the food will run out before everyone eats. We ate pork sandwiches for 3 days. She got some great presents from friends and family and we gave her a bike. The kids did the limbo with a broom stick. They thought that was pretty fun. It's hard to believe that she is already 3. We love everything about our sweet and sassy little girl. Happy Birthday Brielle! I did a slide show of her over the last three years at the bottom of my blog. Check it out

Waiting and Waiting Some More
Today Brielle and I ditched church to go to urgent care. I got there and there was only one person in the waiting room so I was thinking it wouldn't be forever. While in the waiting room, 3 senior citizens come in. I swear the one guy was going to cough up a lung. I felt bad for him but I was really grossed out by it. Brielle kept saying (in a very loud voice!) why that man doing that? why that man so loud? why that man not stopping? I am trying to whisper to her to lower her voice and explain to her that he is very sick, but she didn't care. She just kept getting louder and she wanted to know WHY he was coughing like that. I am so frustrated because I swear I should have been called back by now and I know the old people are getting irritated by my kid, but I was there first and it's not my fault you can't stop coughing and my 3 year old is freaked out by you. Brill (ya that is how the nurse pronounced her name) finally got called back and it was another hour of sitting in the room waiting for the doctor! I do not know what the doc could have been doing because in the time I sat in the waiting room not one person checked out and again, there was only one person ahead of me. So Frustrating! We did have fun singing the alphabet song and counting to 20. She goes from Q to W and sings next time you wont sing with me instead of next time wont you sing with me! So funny and she skips numbers 8,9 and 17, 18 & 19. But we had plenty of time to work on it while we waited. The doc finally came in and she did have swimmers ear, so now all of my kids have had it this summer. Hopefully the drops will kick in and she will sleep better than she did last night and be all better so she can swim at her birthday party on Friday!

Just the backyard
A little more touch to our backyard. Trees, shrubs, some rock. We are so happy with look but not so much with the pocket book! (i crack myself up) I had no idea trees were so expensive. We have been eating a lot of totino's pizza rolls and pb&j's. (probably the reason for a little weight gain!) that's okay though cuz i can start my diet monday and do relay races in the grass with my kids:)
4th of July
For the 4th we had some friends over for a bbq. We swam and played games. The monsoons came in about 8 with some pretty strong winds and lightning so we had to run for cover for a while. We watched the Surprise fireworks from our balcony.
bri bri had a little fall during the sack race
